Uckfield is in one of the sunniest counties in England, with up to 9 hours of sunshine per day in the summer. This makes it an ideal place to take advantage of our free solar panels to produce electricity for your home.
Uckfield council are considering leading by example and fitting a solar PV array to the Civic Centre roof, which being south facing is in a perfect position. They are currently looking into the cost of fitting the panels so please do show them your support in any way you can. One great way of showing you want to see more solar energy in use is to demonstrate this practically by having them fitted to your house. If you are a homeowner with a south facing roof then you can get them for free, paid for by the government-backed feed-in-tariff.
