Does this make sense?

We believe that there are several reasons that the Sunhive free solar power offer should make sense for home owners. Here are a few reasons:

  1. You don’t have to wait for over 10 years to financially break-even. With our free solar offer, profit (in the form of free electricity) is immediate.
  2. You can move house whenever you chose without worrying about leaving your investment behind, especially if you have not yet achieved financial break-even.
  3. The value of your home is improved or at least protected (with solar panels being viewed as assets) without you having to make the investment.
  4. You don’t need to be a technical expert – we ensure that we put an optimised system on your home since this is a long-term investment for us and our profits depend on it!
  5. You don’t have to worry about maintenance – we ensure that the system is installed well and that it operates efficiently over the next 25 years. If any goes wrong, we are automatically alerted. We need to fix things as soon as possible because….our profits depend on it!

If you have the funds (or are willing to take up a loan) then you might want to consider making the investment yourself. If you make the investment in a solar PV generator, then you would receive the feed-in-tariff payments yourself.

You should recover your initial investment (or achieve break-even) in about 10 years (depending on your location and the installation cost) and achieve an average return on investment of around 8 to 10%. You will also need to factor in maintenance and insurance costs over the long-term. Please note that this is NOT similar to putting your money in the bank, as you can’t get the money back whenever you choose since it is tied down as a fixed asset (solar panels and equipment).

With our free solar power scheme, you don’t make the investment but you still get to enjoy financial benefits from the reduction in your electricity bill.  We have answers to frequently asked questions here.
