Feed-in-Tariffs

Feed-in-Tariffs were introduced in the UK in April 2010 by the UK government as a means of boosting renewable energy generation.

They enable owners of solar photovoltaic installations to get paid (by utilities) for both the electricity generated and that which is exported into the grid.

Making Solar Power Free

  1. Sunhive’s business model separates owners of solar photovoltaic generators from the users of solar power.
  2. We find investors that are attracted to feed-in-tariffs and get them to pay for solar installations.
  3. Sunhive places these solar installations on roofs “rented” from home owners.
  4. Home owners “get paid with free solar power”.
  5. The solar installations are maintained and insured by Sunhive.
